Tessa Barnes, LMFTA, SUDP
Tessa integrates evidence-based and cutting-edge modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) all from a trauma informed lens. She is known for her calm presence, attuned listening, sense of humor, and ability to hold difficult emotions with care and clarity. Clients often describe her as grounded, empathetic, educational, and deeply invested in their growth.
In addition to her clinical work, Tessa has spent nearly a decade volunteering as a mentor for young people in recovery from substance use disorders and eating disorders, as well as for family members impacted by addiction.
Above all, Tessa believes that healing is not about fixing what’s “wrong with you,” but about reconnecting with what has been protected, unheard, or wounded and integrating that into wholeness. She is honored to walk alongside clients as they move toward recovery, connection, and lasting transformation.
